There has been an announcement from the Welsh Assembly Government that Sharp Manufacturing has made an investment of $56 million which is 35 million pounds in the solar manufacturing plant Wrexham, Wales. The company is planning to double its photovoltaic solar panels production to fulfill the demand in Europe.
There will be 3 new assembly lines is planned to be developed through this investment which will also increase production capacity of photovoltaic solar panels in the company to 500 MW. At present the company provides jobs to 750 at the place and they are expecting to hire additional hundred workers. Geraint Jones, The Americas for the Welsh Assembly Government head said Sharp Manufacturing which is a global company has selected Wales for the investment than any other place due to its tech-savvy workforce including the support from the government for the business.
Geraint Jones also said the company’s location in Wales will make it a fast growing solar panel technology market in the Europe. Sharp Manufacturing is also planning to introduce a latest renewable energy academy during this month at Wales’s facility which will support in training the workers to set up a solar panel and help to produce power to homes and businesses. The plant in Wales which was started in the year 2004 along with a 20 MW capacity and it has started to expand from the day it started to function.
Sharp Manufacturing is the largest producers of photovoltaic panels globally which supports to change the sunlight into electricity.
