Coda sedan in middle of 2011

During the time when all the electric vehicle companies are planning for a share at the electric vehicle market, the Coda has declared that it is going to postpone its Electric sedan model for a short period because it requires a build buffer time into the schedule. Mac Heller, CEO of the company said their latest model was planned to be introduced in the month of December but it has been postponed but it is not due to a problem with the car.

The latest Coda sedan models will we introduced during the middle of next year. Coda sedan is made up of using few Chinese made parts such as Chassis which is a 5 passenger electric vehicle based on the previous Mitsubishi model that had been sold in the Asia. The car is powered by an all-electric drive system and the electric vehicle also contains a 33.8 kWh Lithium-ion battery including a range of 120 miles (193 km).

The new Coda sedan will set with six airbags which also includes a QuickLink Feeds, satellite-ready AM/FM/XM radio, Level II charging with a 6.6kWh on-board vehicle charger. The car is planned to be made available from Hertz rental locations in Southern California from the year 2011. Both Coda and Hertz have come under a contract by signing an agreement earlier this month but the Hertz order size has not been revealed. The company has fixed the price of its new electric vehicle at $37,400.

The electric vehicle price also includes federal tax credits and because of the local tax credits in some of the states, the price of the electric vehicle is expected to be lower than other places. Coda also includes a 3 year/36,000 miles bumper-to-bumper warranty and also a same battery warranty just like the Chevrolet Volt and Nissan Leaf which has 8 years/100,000 miles warranty.
